After the 2nd world war a new communist regime decided that it did not make any sense to rebuild Warsaw to restore its previous unique, beautiful architecture but instead they order to construct new, "modern" buildings in line with socio-communist style. The city lost its original atmosphere and its beauty.
The photos presented below are on display on the websites: http://www.starawarszawa.pl/ and http://www.warszawa1939.pl (both set up to document the architecture and the history of the City) but the buildings in the photos got destroyed and don't exist.
